Fender Play’s learning experience is crafted by a team that has over 200 combined years of experience working in cognitive science, instructional design and music instruction.
Each lesson is designed by learning experts and scripted by musicians. We participate in the video production process, watching for quality and consistency in lesson delivery. We rigorously screen each of our instructors to ensure that they are top-notch musicians with the skills needed to deliver incredible learning to both brand new players and more advanced players. Finally, we work closely with software engineers to ensure that the educational journey supports our primary goal - to keep players motivated to learn.
The Fender Play team works closely with a team of advisors and writers that are seasoned instructors and faculty from the Department of Education, University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, Berklee College of Music and the Musician's Institute in Hollywood.
The most important contributors to our curriculum are the users. An integral part of curriculum development is the collection of data to inform our content strategy. We do this by actively seeking feedback from parents and students via regularly scheduled surveys, focus groups, lesson reviews, and product testing.
