Music with a boost of learning science
The average new musician stops playing within 90 days of picking up an instrument. But the more progress players make, the more likely they are to continue learning. Fender Play taps into how the brain and body work together to master the fundamentals as quickly as possible, which naturally leads to persistence.
How do we do that? Fender Play applies learning science to years of traditional guitar, bass and ukulele instruction. We take the fundamentals of playing an instrument and apply the most effective methods for developing proficiency in complex psychomotor skill development.
Most importantly, we rely heavily on the use of micro-learning, or bite-sized lessons, to target skill delivery. Our experience and research shows that the more quickly you see progress, the more motivated you are to keep playing.
Our approach is evolving as we continue to apply learning from research in sports psychology, language learning, biomechanics, expert learning theory, habit-building & persistence.
